River Update 7-30-15
Well this past week was not the week to Trout Fish and we didn't. Water temps on Trophy Waters side was well above 72 degrees, and water is extremely low. I guess if you are a Bass or Blue Gill type of guy then this is the weather for you. We are suppose to get some rain and hopefully relief from this heat to cool the River back down hopefully end of week and beginning of next week, then hopefully we can start fishing again. Even my favorite small streams have hardly any water in them, but when it is all said and done we should be back at it next week using the same summer bugs I have on here from last week. Fish early or fish late and stay cool! From Big Rubber Legged Bright Colored Attractors, to the smallest of small BWO or Trico's, they can all make for a good day on the River. Attractors like PMX, Patriots, Madam X, Stones for afternoon bugs, and from about 7 till dark, #18 BWO, Lt. Cahills, and some Iso's should do the trick. If you are into late night fishing, this is Mouse & Gurgler time. Have fun & Fish weekdays to avoid canoe traffic. Weekly reports and fresh pics as they come in, so keep checking back weekly. Give me a call if you are thinking about booking a trip, I am already booking quite a few days for August White Fly's which is the last May Fly of the season, so call now to get your day in.
If you want to purchase any of my Streamers, you can get them at Trophy Waters Fly Shop in Mio, MI. Tight lines and lots of fish and I'll see you round the bend! Call me to set up Prime Time Hatch Fishing, or shoot me a email. I will now be at this number full time 989-873-6547, if I'm not there leave me a message, and I will call you right back as soon as I get in. You can check the Weather link above and click on webcam and that will give you updated pics of the condition of the river. God Bless and see you soon. You can check my above USGS River Flow page for water temps on the Au Sable on a daily basis. Check out the updated photo page Trophy Room!
